Welcome to my personal site. I am a globally experienced Vice President of Communications with 20+ years in the information technology and insurance sectors. I am passionate about what I do and have achieved demonstrable success as a collaborative business partner and an astute, values-based leader.
What inspires me? Purpose-driven work; collaborating with great people; and knowing I'm making a measurable difference through integrated communications that support the needs of the business. Then, recharging with my family and pursuing further meaning through my activities and interests and the organizations I support.
I am skilled in protecting and enhancing corporate reputations, driving internal change management, leading and motivating complex multi-cultural organizations, and owning sensitive corporate communications projects.

Led the HP Foundation – a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization of HP Inc. – and the company’s global Employee Communications programs.

Drove ‘ahead of schedule’ progress against the Foundation’s 2030 giving, volunteering and Digital Equity goals: surpassing $150M in cumulative giving and doubling year-over-year volunteering in 2024.

Rebooted internal communication strategies to enable managers and inspire employees, foster pride and engagement, and illuminate HP's purpose and values. Vice President, Internal Communications

Managed internal communications for Liberty Mutual’s largest business unit, Global Retail Markets (GRM), across 16 markets worldwide. Ensured the creation and deployment of strategically aligned internal communications programs designed to accelerate business objectives, foster greater trust in leaders, and inspire greater engagement with employees.

Introduced an annual 'Vision Cascade' for GRM, through which every employee was enabled to directly connect their work to the goals of the business. Engagement and understanding of the strategy hit record highs (>95%); the program was subsequently adopted by the rest of Liberty.

Provided direct counsel to GRM’s Executive Leadership Team on communications activities and imperatives.

Through the pandemic, prioritized a focus on clear, informative and supportive communications through which the business and its leadership could be seen to truly live its corporate values. Communication was consistently identified as the leading factor in employees’ satisfaction with Liberty’s pandemic response.

Following Dell's acquisition of EMC, drove the strategy and execution of Dell Technologies' communications initiatives in all international markets: Asia-Pacific & Japan; Europe, the Middle East & Africa; Latin America; and Canada.

Led the proactive management, enhancement and protection of Dell's visibility and reputation – with a consistent voice around the world. Remit included: Corporate & Crisis, Technology, Business and Thought Leadership communications programs, and aligned Social Media.

Achieved and maintained top three share-of-voice ranking every year for each of the company's priority topics, as well as an annual target of >98% for ‘positive or neutral’ global media coverage.

Owned strategy, messaging and project management for sensitive communications initiatives, including: the IPO of Pivotal Software Inc., senior executive departures, product divestitures, and litigation.

When EMC was acquired by Dell in 2016: led the planning of the ‘Day One’ celebrations marking the launch of Dell Technologies, from initial ideation to execution. This involved creating and motivating cross-functional teams from across seven companies to bring to life a worldwide broadcast and over 100 'watch parties' for 140,000 global employees.

For the broadcast, I worked with Guinness World Records to design a world record title for the new Dell Technologies entity, involving hundreds of team members in four locations around the world. This video tells the story.

At HP I was selected as one of 20 senior executives for the inaugural cohort of the company’s top-tier leadership development program. Over 18 months – which included a customer immersion week in Malaysia – I grew my skills in systems thinking, global resilience, geopolitics, and leading with purpose.
